Programs of The Rotary Foundation
Through the Rotary Foundation, educational programs are supported not only on an international basis, but also at the club level. The Rotary Club of Parole is actively involved in the following programs:
Rotary Youth Exchange - a student selected as a Rotary Youth Exchange Student will spend up to a year living with few host families and attending school in a foreign country. More than 8,000 young people each year participate in this program for an opportunity of a lifetime.
The Rotary Club of Parole has actively supported Rotary Youth Exchange through the past three years by hosting youths from Brazil, Germany (2), and Romania while sending local youths to Hungary and Brazil. Rotary Youth Leadership Adwards (RYLA) - this is Rotary's leadership program for young people that emphasizes leadership, citizenship, and personal growth. The Rotary Club of Parole takes an active role in our district's annual 3-day event held at Camp Letts outside of Annapolis.

Group Study Exchange (GSE) - Annual awards are made to paired Rotary districts to cover travel expenses for a team of non-Rotarians from a variety of professions. Rotarian hosts organize a four- to six-week itinerary of vocational, educational, and cultural points of interest. Since 1965, more than 57,000 individuals (almost 12,000 teams) from 100 countries have participated at a cost of more than $92 million.

Parole Rotarian, Barbara Bellack, a past Group Leader who traveled to Russia, coordinates our Distric 7620's GSE program.
